To convert AVIF to GIF, run `npx optimo image.avif --format gif`. GIF is required for some legacy destinations. Optimo handles format conversion and optimization in a single step.

## Command

Convert a file by targeting the output format:

```
npx optimo image.avif --format gif
```

Tip: add `--dry-run` to preview changes.

- Best for simple graphics; photos may suffer.
